Layout

To determine the number of samples and the method of layout them (create a so-called "layout" or modify a previously created) choose: Edit/Arrange samples of actual layer, or press "Alt+L" keys or click button:

Window of layout parameters will appear. We have 10 ways to layout of samples:

On the right is shown a drawing showing selected layout of samples. Warning! The last two options will not be fit to each project. For some dimensions individual samples will overlap.

In the next fields give the number of samples arranged along X and Y axis and the distance between the samples (a value of 0 means the arrangement "with common knives"). Distances between samples (horizontally and vertically) concerns to a single sample.
In the case of optimal arrangement, program sets the number of samples.

In the last field, we can determine whether the samples should be arranged on a sheet. If so then we have a choice of 4 ways:

If you select option 3 or 4, can select 1 of 25 standard sheet sizes (useful function mainly in solid cardboard) or enter any size of sheet. If you have selected the standard size sheet, that when you change the width or height, name of the standard sheet (A0, B1 ...) automatically disappears.

In the case of optimal arrangement, we give the minimum margins. The program will select the number of samples, so that the margins are not smaller than the given values.

To confirm the given parameters, click "OK" or press "Enter". If any of the parameters has an invalid value, a window appears with information. To cancel the given parameters, click "Cancel" or press "Esc".

Depending on what is the current layer at the time, when the "Layout" (bottom and lid) is started (bottom or lid) layout will be drawn on the layer "Layout (sheet) bottom" or "Layout (sheet) lid". So is possible to set completely different layout for the bottom and for the lid.

You can move between the different fields by pressing "Tab" key.

Warning! If the current layer is the "Layout (sheet) any samples" function helps draw sheet only, around the layout which already is.

Layout (bottom+lid)

This function allows for samples layout, of the bottom and the lid on one sheet. Function will not work if the drawing is only on the layer "1 sample - bottom". To determine the number of samples and the method of layout them (create a so-called "layout" or modify a previously created) choose: Edit/Arrange samples of bottom and lid, or press "Alt+Shift+L" keys or click button:

Window of layout parameters will appear. We have 12 ways to layout of samples:

On the right is shown a drawing showing selected layout of samples. Warning! At the bottom of the window is the information, to what type of packaging is for the chosen method of samples layout.

In the next fields give the number of samples (separately for bottom and lid) arranged along X and Y axis and the distance between the samples (a value of 0 means the arrangement "on common knives").

In the last field, we can determine whether the samples are to be arrange on a sheet. If so then we have a choice of 4 ways:

Sheet drawing

To draw a sheet on the layer of "layout" type, on wchich samples are arranged already (previously, so-called "layout" without sheet has been created or sheet was deleted) click button:

Window will appear, in wchich we can determine how the samples should be arranged on a sheet. We have a choice of 3 ways:

If you select option 2 or 3, can select 1 of 25 standard sheet sizes (useful function mainly in solid cardboard) or enter any size of sheet. If you have selected the standard size sheet, that when you change the width or height, name of the standard sheet (A0, B1 ...) automatically disappears.
